CNC CA Glue Workholding Tape

A clean, reliable tape layer for the CA glue and tape workholding method used on CNC routers.

This medium-adhesion tape creates a sacrificial barrier between your workpiece and CNC spoilboard. Apply tape to both surfaces, add CA glue between the tape layers, and press the material into position for fast temporary workholding without screws or clamps in the cutting area.

Why Use It?

• Helps protect the workpiece and spoilboard from direct CA glue contact
• Provides fast workholding for signs, inlays, carvings, and small parts
• Leaves the top and sides of the material clear for machining
• Removes more cleanly than applying adhesive directly to the machine bed
• Useful when traditional clamps would interfere with toolpaths

How to Use

1. Clean dust and debris from the spoilboard and underside of the workpiece.
2. Apply strips of tape to the spoilboard and matching strips to the workpiece.
3. Apply CA glue to one taped surface and activator to the other, when appropriate for your adhesive system.
4. Align the material carefully and press the taped surfaces together.
5. After machining, separate the workpiece and peel away the tape.

Important Notes

Workholding strength depends on surface condition, tape coverage, adhesive choice, part size, cutting forces, and machining strategy. Test the setup before aggressive cutting. This product is tape only; CA glue and activator are sold separately.
