The Kidde Metal Fire Alarm Pull Station functions as a conventional initiating device designed for manual fire detection in commercial and residential life safety assemblies. Installed directly onto building walls as part of a comprehensive fire alarm system, this non-coded manual station provides immediate emergency activation by requiring the user to break the glass rod. Operation shifts the internal double-pole switch configuration—opening one circuit and closing the other—to reliably signal the main fire alarm control panel.
This life safety device is engineered to satisfy strict life safety and electrical code requirements, supporting compliance with governing standards such as NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code) for manual fire alarm box installation, spacing, and initiation performance. It carries mandatory UL and FM agency approvals, verifying that the assembly meets rigorous commercial testing parameters for dependable emergency response and circuit integrity.
- Durable Metal Construction: Withstands harsh commercial and industrial environments for long-lasting operational reliability.
- Double Pole System: Enhances electrical circuit reliability utilizing a dual configuration with one circuit open and one circuit closed.
- Non-Coded Break Glass Design: Enables simple, immediate manual activation during emergency events without complex dialing or sequencing.
- Seamless System Integration: Engineered to connect cleanly with existing conventional fire alarm control panels for straightforward retrofits and new construction.
